The Romanesque bridge of Monastero Bormida connects the two banks of the river in front of the castle and together forms one of the most recognizable historical landscapes of the Asti Langa.
Tradition links its construction to the monks of the nearby Benedictine monastery. For centuries, the bridge played a crucial role in trade between the Asti area, the Bormida Valley, and Liguria.

The best view of the castle, built on the site of the ancient monastery of Santa Giulia, opens from the bridge and its banks. The tower, bridge, and waterway offer a glimpse of its combined religious, defensive, and commercial functions.
The structure was restored after the floods that hit the valley, particularly the one in 1994. Respect any restrictions for pedestrians, bicycles, or vehicles and do not stop on the roadway.
