Cascina Crocetta is a small rural complex nestled in the Uzzone Valley landscape. The stone buildings, courtyards, and service buildings retain the distinctive character of the Alta Langa peasant architecture.
The farmhouse is not just a testimony to the past: since 2016 it has hosted the activities of the Banca del Fare , a project dedicated to the transmission of traditional construction techniques and experimentation with natural materials.
It is a particularly interesting stop for those who love vernacular architecture, the rural landscape and cultural projects based on learning by doing.
What to see
The first element to observe is the rural village as a whole: sandstone walls, attached buildings, courtyards and passages show how housing and agricultural work were organised in a single system.
The documented spaces include the rooms of the old residence, meeting rooms, common areas, and small rural buildings. The Banca del Fare construction sites worked on stone, wood, raw earth, hemp-lime, furnishings, and service buildings.
